A bit of a drive, but by far the BEST lake view nearby. The food isn’t amazing- but the drinks are cheap! So go and soak up the view on a gorgeous day or for a killer sunset!

The iconic Oasis - a perfect place for a sunset dinner. Kid friendly patio seating. If you're not into a sit-down dinner, the Oasis Brewery (upstairs from Oasis Restaurant) is an excellent spot for a few beers and games, while watching the sun go down.

“12 miles. Taking the steep climb up Mount Bonnell to take a few selfies is one of the most tourist-y things you can do in Austin, but that's because it is beautiful and worth hiking to get there!. One of the city's tried and true dating ideas (going all the way back to the 1850s) is to pack a picnic basket and slowly make your way up the 102 steps until you reach the full 775 feet. Once you’ve made it, give your sweetie a kiss under the limestone pavilion. They’ve earned it.”
