If heading to Dartmouth - The Canteen or Little C are must check-outs! The Canteen is a bright and airy restaurant with great service, serving local chef-inspired fare and handmade cocktails. They are open for lunch and dinner most days and brunch on Saturdays only! Little C - located right next door to The Canteen is open weekdays for Lunch only and specializes in chef-made sandwiches, soups and salads - it's the perfect spot for a quick bite or lunch on-the-go.

The Canteen is our favourite place to eat out if we are having a date. The food is fresh and delicious and the chef was a competitor on Canada`s Top Chef in 2019! Tip: You'll need a reservation if you want to go to the Canteen. They also have a take out place next to it called Little C with lots of fresh food as well.

Hop on the Dartmouth ferry for $2.50 and go to the Canteen. A great little restaurant that actually takes reservations (they are hard to come by sometimes in this city!). And the ferry ride can be very pretty on a nice evening.
