Golden Gate Park is a must visit while in SF. It's huge and there are so many things to do here, but our favorites are picnicking outside the conservatory of flowers or visiting the DeYoung Museum and the Academy of Sciences. Or go on a Sunday when the streets are closed to traffic and ride a bike around the whole park.

Great place to walk and explore tea garden, art museum, academy of science etc.! Can be a full day activity, and lots of food options in the area.
Large urban park where you can check out the Bison Paddock, California Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Windmills, Stow Lake and more!
Splendid huge park with beautiful gardens, museums, and other points of interest. Take a picnic and enjoy the day!
One of the great parks of the United States. Just head down Stanyan street to Haight street. The entrance to the GGP is right there. Enjoy the Academy of Sciences, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers (great night time light shows in the summer and winter) and many, many other features of the park.
Golden Gate Park is the biggest man-made park in the world. it's one of main attractions in SF because there is so much to do. I recommend entering the park just two blocks from your stay and taking a walk all the way down to Ocean Beach, the great Pacific ocean is just about two miles from here.
