One of the best wineries in Paso. If you like big, extracted wines with a unique sense of place this is worth a try. The wines are not cheap but offer elegance, balance, and aging potential.

Originally from Bordeaux, Stephan Asseo purchased land in Paso Robles and moved here to start making wines that would not qualify under existing French wine making laws. The tasting room is built into one of the hills of the vineyard and tours are offered of the caves used to store the barrels for the wines he makes. Not to be missed is his rose, a favorite of every industry person in Paso Robles. *Reservations required, please let us know if you'd like to visit and we can schedule for you.

Stephen Asseo saw this new pocket of new-world winemaking as a place to harness his wine making pedigree and let the wines dictate the rules. Stick with the GSM, Cotes a Cotes!

Fine and elegant wines just next door! It is about a 1.25 mile beautiful walk. Allow 15-20 min to walk over.
