Walk down two blocks and you are at the newest bar in the East End, making it an easy stop in for some drinks and snacks or a meal. The name comes from the original use of the beautiful old building and the walls are adorned with photographs showcasing Newcastle’s very own vibrant history. The food seems just as warm and hearty as you’d expect from a gastropub in the heart of our city. Expect all your typical pub favourites with the likes of cottage pie, fish and chips and of course the chicken schnitzel.
