When the weather is nice, you can barely see the grass due to the throngs of people lounging around. Luckily, the park was recently renovated and is big enough that you're bound to find a spot you like. The southwest corner is good for a panoramic view of the city skyline (and usually far enough away from the folks enjoying their herbal refreshments on the northern slope). There's also a nice kid's playground, although it's geared more towards older kids.

This park has one of the most prototypical views of the SF skyline. It is also one of the only places in SF that will have palm trees for the extra California vibes. On a good sunny day, be prepared to take lots of pictures and to encounter lots of locals and tourists alike. It's best to combine…
Come day drink at the park with a great downtown view. This is the spot the locals go to chill with friends.
Not to be missed if you're looking for a local and classic San Franciscan experience. Great place to run or play tennis and a sight for the eyes on a nice, warm weekend day.
One of the city's most popular parks in the vibrant, culturally diverse Mission District. Gets VERY crowded on weekends and holidays.
Great park to hang out with friends and family while doing a bit of day drinking!
A gathering spot for great views of downtown San Francisco and a spectator experience of lively and local citizenry.
A beautiful park with nice views of the city. Very social and great people watching.
Take in the sites of San Francisco and enjoy the sunshine with a picnic at famous Dolores Park.
Dolores Park is one of the more beautiful parks in San Francisco, with a gorgeous view of the SF skyline. In addition to plenty of hanging out space, there is a kid’s play area, basketball, and tennis courts.

“Millennials love to stand in lines. Go mid-morning on weekdays to avoid long lines. But, the food is well worth it! Riches beyond your wildest dreams: butter-golden pains au chocolat, cappuccinos with ferns drawn in dense foam and croque monsieurs turbo-loaded with ham, two kinds of cheese and béchamel. Don't be dismayed by the inevitable line out the door – it moves fast – but be aware that lolling in Dolores Park is the only possible post-Tartine activity.”

“No visit to the area would be complete without a visit to Bi-Rite Ice Cream at the corner of 18th and Dolores. Truly fantastic. My personal favorite is the Salted Caramel. Other notable flavors include Black Sesame, Ricanelas, Roasted Banana, and Creme Brulee.”
