A must for any hiker. Loads of beautiful trails with impressive vistas of the Wallkill Valley (it used to be considered the bread basket for New York City) and of the Shawangunk Mountains, a mecca for rock climbers from around the world.

Hiking with awe-inducing views at the Mohonk Preserve. Day fees apply for most of the preserve, but the Visitor Center and grounds are free.

The Visitor Center is open year-round, free-of-charge 9am-5pm and is closed on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve at Noon, and Christmas Day. Hike , bike, or walk on 70 miles of carriage roads and trails Climb the world-famous Gunks cliffs Run through forests, fields, and mountains Ski/Snowshoe on groomed and natural terrain.
