Astoria Heights Playground is a place of activity and energy for the children and families of Astoria. . It has been divided into two sections; athletic courts are featured on the upper side of the park, while a playground and passive areas are on the lower side. It features play equipment for kids up to age 15, and a spray shower area with 10 jets. The athletic field can be used for tennis, volleyball or baseball, and includes a walking track around the perimeter. At the community's request, the playground also features a picnic area with a small lawn for neighborhood congregation.
