Nothing like a library housed in an antebellum mansion. There's a really good book sale there out back on Wednesdays & Saturdays from 10AM-2PM.

Jump on the Streetcar and in 5-10 minutes you are at a beatiful mansion donated and transformed into the "Latter' public library, one of the great ones in NOLA's public library system. if you get on the streetcar going the other direction on the Streetcar and go to the small library named the 'Nix' library (near Oak Street + Carrolton)
