Our property is close to a hiking and biking trail to Buddha point. The huge 51m-tall statue of Buddha Dordenma commands the entry to the Thimphu valley. The massive three-storey base houses a large chapel, while the body itself is filled with 125,000 smaller statues of Buddha. The Buddha looks best in morning light, or at night when it is illuminated.

Kuenselphodrang more commonly known as Buddha Point by locals is an icon landmark located atop a hill. It overlooks the Southern entrance to Thimphu Valley and provides stunning views. The statue fulfils an ancient prophecy dating back to the 8th century A.D that was discovered by Terton Pema Lingpa (Religious Treasure Discoverer) and is said to emanate an aura of peace and happiness to the entire world.
