Beautiful ruins of a large church without its roof, a dramatic reminder of the 1755 earthquake that destroyed parts of Lisbon. An eerie place, perfect for beautiful photos. The museum is very interesting.

I must say that Convento do Carmo (Carmo Convent) is one of my favourite monument in Lisbon. The convent was built in late 14th century but the ceiling part was destroyed in the 1755 Lisbon earthquick. But this creats really misterious feeling to the convent. They also have small archaeological…
