Tongariro Domain is Taupo's main park situated adjacent to the Central Business District. The domain is a popular area for our community and visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk, a picnic or to take their children to the playground area. The Garden of Significance in the South Domain is a lovely place to visit if you enjoy roses, flowers, or native and exotic shrubs and trees.

This is where the majority of sporting events start or finish. Heaps of space and adjacent to the Saturday markets. Plenty of parking and near the I-Site and public library. Just a short walk to the kiddies park

Great spot for families. Children's playground, Rotary train ride ($2), giant chess game, Superloo (toilets/showers/changing facility). Extends to north domain for events, fairs etc - neighbouring Taupo Museum and the Rose Gardens. Great for chilling out with the kids, picnics etc.
