On a clear day, you get a 360 degree view that includes La Jolla Shores Beach, Miramar Air Station, Mission Bay and even the hills of Tijuana! The Memorial plaques are beautifully respectful of the men and women who have served our country.

3 miles up the hill is the Mt Soledad Cross that serves as a Veterans Memorial with spectacular 360 degree views of PB, La Jolla and downtown San Diego. On really clear days, you can see all way to Dana Point and Catalina to the north, and Tijuana and the Coronado Islands to the south.

The Mt. Soledad memorial is considered to be one of the most unique veterans memorials in the United States. Its 11 walls display names and photographs of veterans with plaques telling their stories, and its commanding memorial cross stands at a towering 29 feet (nine meters) tall.
