The primary location of the land trust to obtain information about the 20+ hiking trails in the area. Beautiful location with nice walk/jog trail available here.

If you want to enjoy the natural environment, check out the BRLT and take a few nature hikes in the area. Recommend their headquarters, Oven's Mouth, and of course the Linekin River Loop trail.

I love the Boothbay Region Land Trust! The sweet Hendrick's Head Trail is right next to the town beach on Southport. My favorite trail, though, is the Porter Preserve on Barter's Island (a 15 minute drive). Trails meander through old growth spruce, oak and pine along half mile of shorefront on the Sheepscot and Back rivers with lovely scenic vistas. There is a sheltered cove with a beach and a small offshore island known as Lydia Ann’s Island.
