A wonderfully varied park offering swimming, boating, horseback riding and walks. The trail around the lake is 10k and popular with runners and walkers.
Not just hiking but the centre for the Canadian Rowing Teams. Great sandy beaches for swimming in the Summer. Take drinks and snacks with you as there is no catering. Not even a food truck. 13.1 km or a 11 minute drive away.
A 1,072 acres park in Saanich, British Columbia, containing Elk Lake and Beaver Lake. Amazing place to relax amid weeping willows, have a picnic and a swim, or walk around the lakeside perimeter where you may encouter horses.
These are two conjoined lakes that include 15 kilometers of walking trails, canoeing, rowing, windsurfing, fishing, and birdwatching. These lakes are popular swimming destinations. Elk Lake additionally serves as the training area for Canada’s Olympic Rowing team and local school competitions. Public transportation can bring you to this site.
