Ellendale Pool is only3/4hr drive from Getaway Beach, this Rivers system is Spring fed and a wonderful Picnic spot with BBQs. A great drive through Walkaway, then past the Wind Turbines... Swimming, paddle a Kayak, bird watch, relax

This is a great little drive from Ecostays (approx 30 mins) to an ideal picnic place with lots of shade, bbq's and a body of water where the bottom has never been chartered!! Its definitely worth a drive. You will also pass the Greenough wind farm, with an exhibition of the HUGE blades that the windmills have and the power that they generate for WA. After all, this is a windy part of the country!

This scenic waterhole is located 45km south east of Geraldton in Greenough. Surrounded by giant gum trees and a rocky gorge, Ellendale Pool is a beautiful spot to enjoy a picnic or camping trip. Interpretive signs are around the area and celebrate the importance the pool has played in Aboriginal and European history. Public facilities and barbeques are available – so pack the snags and enjoy a great time out amongst nature!
