Mdina Gate, also known as the Main Gate or the Vilhena Gate, is the main gate into the fortified city of Mdina, Malta. It was built in the Baroque style in 1724 to designs of Charles François de Mondion, during the magistracy of Grand Master António Manoel de Vilhena. Move further and enter the Mdina silent city.

Mdina is one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient walled city and extraordinary in its mix of medieval and baroque architecture. Like nearby Mdina, Rabat played a major role in Malta's past and is a prime source of its cultural heritage. Msina should be on every discerning visitor's itinerary and is just a short drive from Siggiewi.
