It is an iron wire bridge of the longest length in Japan, 297 m in length and 54 m in height from the river side, over the Kumano river (Totsu River), built by the residents of the local district (Tanase) district in 1952, for living use. It is the longest suspension bridge in Japan as the suspension bridge.
