Tips från lokalbefolkningen
Built in 1907 and outfitted with nearly 1,500 seats, this historical gem near King and Simcoe is the oldest continuously operating theatre in North America. Performances take place on a classic proscenium stage, and there are two levels of balconies.
The Royal Alex, purchased and restored by Ed Mirvish in 1963, is one of the oldest and most famous theatres in North America. For over a century this iconic theatre has been the stage for major touring products from London and New York as well as a space used by local companies like the Canadian Opera Co. and the National Ballet.
