Great professional theatre that runs plays and musicals 46 weeks of the year (Tues - Thurs at 7pm; Fri & Sat at 8pm; Sat & Sun at 3pm). Check out sfplayhouse.org for current shows and times.

Gorgeous building and definitely the place to go if you love books. The is the library from the movie "City of Angels".

SF Playhouse is a local repertory company. They do not have the biggest budgets in town, but they do a remarkable job nonetheless. The acting is nearly always great, and they do really interesting plays and musicals. We go frequently.
