Having Bragðarefur at Ísbúð Vesturbæjar is like seeing the Eiffel Tower in Paris. A must. Especially after a visit to the Vesturbæjarlaug swimming pool.

If you walk to the nearest swimming pool (Vesturbæjarlaug) then the all-icelandic experience is to get ice-cream afterwards regardless of the season :) Try some icecream in a cone, dipped in a coating and then layered with crushed candy or “bragðarefur” where you blend iceceream and three kinds of candy of your choice into a swirl of indulgence :)

Great icecream shop! Local people are crazy about something called "bragðarefur" - it's ice cream mixed with 3 types of candy type or fruits.

Probably the best Icecream parlour in Iceland. Softice and Flurries (Bragðarefur in Icelandic) to die for.
