Waimea Bay - very very large surf. An amazing thing to see.

Waimea Bay is known for gigantic waves in the winter and crystal-clear calming water in the summer. The "jump rock" is located inside the bay where people dare to jump the 30'. And Waimea valley with its tropical hike and waterfall is just across the street from the bay. Every Thursday a large farmer's market is held along with a restaurant and gift shop open daily.

On the tip of the North Shore about an hour away but definetely worth the scenic drive around the island. Has a medium rock/cliff jump and often has mini canals that are shallow and warm for little ones. Can get busy so we suggest going early!

Eddie Aikau - the big wave surf contest has been held at this location. DO NOT GO NEAR THE BEACH when its high waves for your safety.
